Step1
Remember in the initial stages of your relationship when all was fresh, exciting and anything seemed possible. If you've settled into mediocrity or worse there are some worthwhile steps you can take to revitalize and make your relationship better than ever.
In the initial phases of a relationship both persons are usually working toward the same goal of making the relationship work. They take the time and effort to make the partnership prosper and are relatively non-judgemental of the other persons flaws.
Step2
As time passes people tend to become more critical of one another. They tend to make their own self interests priority and set little time aside to nurture the relationship.
A relationship is a living entity and like any other living creature when starved or neglected it will eventually die.
Step3
The solution is to take a step back and reevaluate.
Start by setting up your white board in a prominent place in your home where you and your spouse spend the most amount of time.
Step4
Spend some time discussing, agree upon and then write down your goals as a couple.
This should be categorized by daily, weekly, yearly, 5 year, and long term goals.
Step5
Next is the realization that both partners have different talents and personal makeup and can therefore contribute differently towards these goals.
Write down each person's strong traits and how they will try to contribute to attain these goals.
Step6
Reevaluate these goals as necessary, always being careful not to be critical of each persons shortcomings. This process involves respect and understanding.
Teamwork is a valuable tool that will enable you to grow together, reach positive goals and to appreciate each individuals personal skills, talents and love for each other.

on 1/5/2008 Writing down your goals helps you realize the impact of them. They just seem like they are real when you write them down. Write them some where that you can see them each day and leave up once you get there ....just check them off and it will keep you going.
