Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- 1 basket per bedroom
- 1 hamper per bedroom
- 1 sponge & cleanser per bathroom and kitchen
- glass cleaner & paper towels per bathroom & kitchen
Step1
Keeping a home clean is realtively easy with some consistant effort and retraining.
Seperate the products listed to the specified rooms.
Step2
When you leave a room take something that belongs in another room and that is enroute to where you are traversing. If you are going to the room where the item belongs, put it away. If you are not going to that room leave the item closer than it was before so that the items "migrate" to where they belong.
Step3
Rather than waiting for a day when you have time to completely scrub a bathroom, etc. simply take the cleanser and sponge or paper towels and do a quick 2 min. scrub of a sink, toilet, mirror, etc. You can fit this in just about anywhere in your day when you are in that particular area or room.
Step4
Keep a basket outside the door of each bedroom for easy sorting of scattered items.
Keep a laundry basket or hamper in each bedroom and bathroom for organizing dirty laundry.
Step5
Ask for help from family members to pick up after themselves. A good rule of thumb is when you use something put it away before taking something else out.
Step6
If you haven't used something in one year and it's not a keepsake, throw it away.
With these few simple changes you are sure to see a drastic difference in even the most cluttered home.

on 1/4/2008 Clutter is the worst! I read some great advice on another article like this...never leave a room empty handed..there is always something that shouldn't be there.
