Sports fans are all about passion. The problem comes when two fans loaded with passion live in the same house, but are on opposite sides of a sports rivalry.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A third party and a couple of televisions.

How to Survive a Split House in Sports

Step1
Surviving a house that has fans of rival sports teams is a struggle. The first step is to make sure somebody plays the role of the neutral third party.
Step2
Have more than one television and place them in separate rooms. This allows separation during the game and avoids fights over which game to watch.
Step3
Prepare for the day the two rivalries face off. It will be a tough day, because one team is going to lose. This means at least one member of the house will be upset. Make sure you have something that can soothe the pain. It also might be a good idea to keep the opposing parties separate.
Step4
Play both ends of the spectrum, especially if your fans are kids. Make sure both parties know you are backing their team to some extent.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sports rivalries can cause tremendous strife. Be prepared to handle many, many show-downs.
