How to make the perfect "Eggs over Easy"

Learn how to cook the perfect egg.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eggs
  • 8-10 Inch Non-Stick Omelet Pan
  • Butter
  • Cooking Spray
  • Range
  1. Step 1

    Place pan on range.
    Set range to low-medium.
    Stray pan with non-stick coating.
    Place 1 Tablespoon of butter in bottom of warmed pan.
    Let butter melt til it sizzles.

  2. Step 2

    Crack eggs and place in pan.
    Adjust heat of range to keep from burning butter.
    Cook about 2-3 minutes until bottom whites firm.

  3. Step 3

    Raise pan and with wrist action slide/flip eggs over in pan.
    Turn off burner and set pan back down on range.
    Wait two minutes for yolk to partially set.
    Slide eggs into plate.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice "slide/flipping" over sink until you get it down.
  • Butter is hot.
  • Wear gloves.
  • Adjust cooking and sitting time for your range.
