When you're making beaded jewelry, jump rings can come in very handy--they allow you to attach a metal loop to any part of the necklace, bracelet or earrings so that a clasp can be connected or a pendant or some other embellishment can be added.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • jump rings
  • two pairs of pliers
  1. Step 1

Hold the jump ring with the two sets of pliers.

  2. Step 2

Carefully pull the ring apart, turning your wrists so that one moves toward you and the other away.

  3. Step 3

To close the ring, reverse the directions.

Tips & Warnings
  • All supplies are readily available at craft and beading stores.
