Children love Christmas time and one great way that you can help them celebrate is to put a personalized tree up in their room. The lights make a great nightlight to fall asleep to and the decorations can express their hobbies and interests.

  • Small christmas trees that can sit on a desk or dresser
  • Miniature Lights
  • Miniature Star or Angel for the top
  • Ornaments that they can choose

  1. Step 1

    When you put up your large family Christmas tree this year, put up a smaller sized one in your childrens' rooms and let them choose the decor that will be on it. You can set it up on a dresser or desk so that they do not play with the ornaments.

  2. Step 2

    They can put miniature lights, star or angel, and even miniature garland on it to make it festive and seasonal.

  3. Step 3

    If your children like sports then take them to find some theme ornaments to put on their tree. Cars, instruments, baseball cards, Barbies and butterflies are just a few examples of the kinds of kid friendly themes could grace their tree.

  4. Step 4

    They can use the lights as a night light in the evening also, and even put small gifts for a sibling or pet under their tree. It will help them be more excited and involved this holiday season and add Christmas cheer to their bedroom.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful to chose age appropriate items that children will not put in their mouths or choke on.
  • Make sure to unplug the tree each evening before you go to bed just like the larger family trees.
