Step1
If you want to explore the dark side of Hollywood without doing a lot of leg work, join a tour. There are several tours available that provide a glimpse into haunted Hollywood. These group tours will take you around to the sites where famous scandals happened as well as to haunted houses and hotels.
Step2
If you prefer to look into Hollywood's past and visit long-dead celebrities on your own, start with a little Internet research.
Step3
Visit the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. One of the most historic sites on Sunset Blvd., the hotel beckons visitors back to old Hollywood. The hotel is said to be haunted by Marilyn Monroe, who used to lounge poolside, and by Montgomery Clift, whose ghost people have claim to have seen on the ninth floor.
Step4
The Chateau Marmont may be the most glamorous haunted hotel in Hollywood. Also located on Sunset Blvd., this hotel is said to be the place where Jean Harlow and Clark Gable had a steamy tryst, and their ghosts may still roam the halls. Check into this golden-era Hollywood gem of a hotel and possibly spend the night with a movie star from the past.
Step5
Plan a visit to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which is said to be haunted by the ghosts of Clifton Webb, Rudolph Valentino and ill-fated starlet Virginia Rappe.
