2. Encourage the Republican Party to take a more inclusive attitude toward the future of the party. Although the base of the party is made up of social conservatives and evangelicals, their platform of denying rights to gay and lesbian Republicans is in direct contradiction to tradition Republican principles of limited government and personal freedom. The only way the party truly wins is to come together, rather than lose a major constituency for failure to listen.
3. Become a member of the Log Cabin Republicans. Membership is available to all who support the mission of this organization and all who can pay for the membership.
