How to install dota on a PC

This is the step to step guide for dota beginners to install dota properly and start playing.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• A computer capable of running Warcraft III
• A set of authentic Warcraft III and Warcraft III The Frozen Throne CD
• A stable internet connection of 56 kbps or above.
• Latest dota map from www.getdota.com

1. 
   www.getdota.com

   Download the latest dota map from www.getdota.com if you haven't already done so.

2. 
   File location to put

   Copy the downloaded file into the folder
   C:\Program Files\WarcraftIII\Maps\Downloads
   (If the \Downloads folder doesn't exist, just create one manually.)

3. Now your ready to go, just start up warcraft and log onto battle.net to play dota.
