A clean, very soft, lint-free cloth (a tea towel works best)
A faucet with warm running water
Step1
Gently rinse the lenses of your glasses under warm running water. Do not wipe off the water or dry the lenses. You want water droplets to remain on the lenses.
Step2
While the lenses are still wet, place a pea-sized drop of liquid soap onto each side of each lens.
Step3
Using your thumb and index finger, gently spread the drops of soap to completely the cover both sides of the lenses. Be sure to push the soap under the nose piece to cover that portion of the lens as well.
Step4
Rinse the glasses under the warm running water and move them back and forth tipping the glasses upright and down again to allow the water to carry away all of the liquid soap.
Step5
After all of the soap has been rinsed off, use the soft, lint-free cloth to gently dab (don’t wipe) the remaining water droplets off of the lenses until all of the water droplets are gone.
Tips & Warnings
The best soap to use is Dial antibacterial liquid hand soap.
When wetting and rinsing the lenses, don’t turn the water on full blast. This may damage your frame or the nose pieces.
Don’t use hot water; just use warm water. Warm water will loosen grease, dirt, and soap residue better than will cold water. Additionally, hot water may damage the coating on your lenses.
