Things You'll Need:
- Form of payment
- The ability to let other people touch you
- Time to take out of your day to get pampered
-
Step 1
appointment bookMake an appointment. The earlier you call, the better chance you will have of getting your preferred date and time. Spas are generally busier on Thursday evenings, Fridays and especially Saturdays. Before ending the conversation with the receptionist, be sure to verify you both have the SAME date and time.
-
Step 2
Come to the spa about 15 minutes prior to the appointment and check in with the receptionist, especially if it is your first visit. You will generally have to fill out a client data form, and possibly a skin questionairre and/or massage questioniarre if you are receiving either of those services.
-
Step 3
Meet and consult with technician performing your service. Don't be shy about telling the massage therapist about your stiff neck, the aesthetician about your sensitive skin or the nail technician about your recent foot surgery. By communicating you will allow the technician to give you the best service possible.
-
Step 4
Receiving a massageGet your services! Keep the line of communication open. You are the most important voice during your services. So speak up if the massage pressure is too hard or deep, the room is too cold/hot etc. Sometimes the smallest adjustment can make the world of difference in your satisfaction.
-
Step 5
Take it all in. After you are finished, you can relax in the lobby or other area. You are not under any pressure to leave immediately. Have a beverage before returning to reality.
-
Step 6
paymentPay for services and give technicians gratuity. The standard gratuity of 15 - 20% is appreciated. But, if you feel you have been given less then satisfactory or outstanding service, by all means leave a tip that reflects your level of satisfaction.
