Sometimes you need to read one part of a Word document in order to work on another part of the same document. Scrolling up and down through the pages is laborious and time consuming. Why not view two parts of the same Word document simultaneously? Didn’t know you had such an option? Well you do, and here are the simple steps to use it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Begin by opening the Word document you want to split.
Step2
Click “Window” on the standard toolbar.
Step3
Click “Split.” A horizontal “Split Bar” will appear on your document.
Step4
Use your mouse to drag the “Split Bar” where you want it. When you find the place you want to make the split, click the bar or hit the “Enter” key.
Step5
When you have finished viewing both parts of your document, click on “Window” on the toolbar again, and click “Remove Split.”
