One of the most effective ways to promote your website or products for free online is through article marketing. Webmasters and ezine publishers love free content, and providing it with a link to your site can get you lots of exposure. It’s easier to write articles to promote some websites or products than it is for others. But there are few things that you can’t promote with article marketing. Here are some pointers.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Modify things that you’ve written previously. This works very well if you’re promoting an information product. You can simply reword the highlights of a section or chapter to turn them into an informative yet concise article.

  2. Step 2

Write about problems that the product or service you’re offering can solve. Include alternative solutions so that your article doesn’t sound too much like a sales pitch, but emphasize the advantages of what you are offering over the other options.

  3. Step 3

Write informational pieces about various aspects of your field of expertise. Little-known facts and trivia are great for stirring up curiosity about any subject, and readers who want to learn more will visit your site to do so.

  4. Step 4

Compose how-to articles pertaining to your subject. You could write about how to use your product in a certain application, or how to do tasks that are related to your website topics.

  5. Step 5

Write about your products or services in general, and what consumers should look for when shopping for them. Be sure to include how well your offerings fit the bill.

Tips & Warnings
  • Include keywords that relate to your site in your marketing articles. This will cause them to rank higher in the search engines, resulting in more views and more click-throughs to your site.
  • If you’re positively stumped or just don’t have the time to write articles, hire a ghostwriter to come up with topics and write the articles for you.
