Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Not sure if you or someone you know has antisocial personality disorder? Ask yourself the following questions. Does the person tell repeated lies? Have recurring difficulties with the law? Violate the rights of others?
Step2
Probe a little more. Do they have trouble keeping a job? Have you noticed a lack of remorse for hurting others? Do they have an extreme sense of entitlement? Have they had trouble making or keeping friends? Do they easily get bored?
Step3
Ask additional questions. Do they act impulsively? Do they have superficial charm and wit? If you answered yes to most or all of these questions, anti-social personality disorder may be indicated. The first step is to recognize the problem. The next step is seeking help.
