How to Make Sardine Salad

Here's a news flash: sardines can be found outside of the can. Moreover, these tasty little fish are good for you! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup sardines (not canned)
  • Bibb lettuce
  • Aioli
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 egg

Instructions

    • 1

      Hard-boil an egg and slice the cucumber. Break up the lettuce into large leaves.

    • 2

      Strip the skin off the sardines, then split them and, as best as is possible, removing the bones and spines.

    • 3

      Mix in the egg and sardines, breaking them into chunks.

    • 4

      Spread the lettuce leaves around, making a bed on the plate. Place the cucumbers on this and the egg and sardine mixture on top of this. Top with aioli.
