Cookies make a great present any time of the year, but sometime cookie tins can be hard to find or they may not fit the occasion. There is an easy way to make your own beautiful cookie gift containers, no matter what the season or reason for the present.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Coffee Cans or Cookie Tins
  • Parchment Paper
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Regular Glue or Adhesive
  • Various Card Stock Used for Scrapbooking
  • Ribbon or Bows
  • Embellishments (optional)
  1. Step 1

Prepare the hot glue gun by plugging it in, turning it on and having glue sticks on hand.

  2. Step 2

Set out your empty coffee cans or cookie tins, and then choose the appropriate pattern of scrapbook card stock.

  3. Step 3

Cut the card stock to fit the can or tin. Affix the stock with the hot glue gun. Don’t forget to cover the lid of the container. If the lid is plastic you may want to use a non-heated glue so you won’t damage the plastic.

  4. Step 4

Once the glue has dried, add additional items to embellish the cannister, such as wording, pictures or ribbons

  5. Step 5

Line the bottom of the container with parchment paper and fill with cookies.

  6. Step 6

Put the lid on the container, place a bow on top or tie a ribbon around it and attach a name tag or card.
