So you like to make pancakes, either from a mix or from scratch, but you're tiring of the same old thing. Here are some easy ways to add pizzazz to those Sunday morning treats.

From Quick Guide: Pancake Recipes
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon
  • Walnuts or pecans
  • Bananas
  • Blueberries or strawberries
  1. Step 1

Add one teaspoon to one tablespoon of vanilla. This produces a delicious scent and yummy taste. Kids love it too!

  2. Step 2

Stir one teaspoon of cinnamon into the flour or mix. This delivers a nice flavor reminiscent of cinnamon toast.

  3. Step 3

Go for the nuts. Chop or crumble a handful of walnuts or pecans into your pancake recipe. Feel free to experiment with macadamia nuts, pistachios or other exotic nuts.

  4. Step 4

Add fruit. The natural choice is chopped bananas, delicious as they get warm and melty when the pancakes are cooking.

  5. Step 5

Mix in blueberries (fresh or frozen) or strawberries for wonderful fruit-filled pancakes. You can experiment with any kind of berry, including marionberry, blackberry, raspberry and whatever version catches your fancy.
