Step1
Food Elimination - Eliminate the following;
Alcohol (all)
Caffeine (sub green tea-no other teas---none after 2p.m.)
Dairy (all, make sure to read labels very carefully-it’s in many processed foods)
Trans fats
Corn oil, safflower oil (sub olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil)
Fast Food (reason being that they include wheat, dairy and trans fats)
Processed Foods (prepackaged food)
Grains (especially wheat - important to eat brown rice instead)
Iodized salt (sub Celtic or Himalayan sea salts)
Commercial meats (sub free range and/or organic)
Fried foods
sweets/sugar
Step2
Eat simple and nutritious meals... & no eating/food after 7 p.m.
An example would be grilled chicken, steamed vegetable or grilled using olive or coconut oils, 1/4 avocado, steamed brown rice, and peppermint tea or kombucha tea.
Step3
Incorporating the following foods with meals will help facilitate nourishment and detox...
Steamed spinach
Peppermint tea
Steamed carrots
Mung beans
Cucumber
organic dates & figs (in moderation)
Avocado
Coconut oil
Spirulina
kombucha
green tea

on 1/10/2008 I'm doing most of what you suggest for my post holiday's weight gain. Interesting, I stopped my daily Star Buck's Latte and I had a headache for almost a day. Just goes to show you that we have alot of toxins in our bodies. Loved the article...keeping me motivated!
