Instructions

    • 1

Assess your lawn situation to see how many brown spots you have. Large spots, the size of a hub cap, may require a full bottle of beer so do your math and calculate how much beer you will need.

    • 2

Take a large, clean spray bottle and fill it with beer. It doesn't matter if the beer is cold or at room temperature as long as it's not stale. Chemical-free brews, such as Rolling Rock, do the best job of restoring your lawn.

    • 3

Saturate the brown spots in the lawn with the beer. Your lawn will soak up the fermented sugar from the beer and soon return to a lovely shade of green. If the grass doesn't quite return to its former color, repeat the application.

Tips & Warnings

  • The fermented sugar in beer also stimulates plant growth and removes fungus.
