Everyone knows to add water to the shampoo bottle as it begins to get near the bottom of the bottle to use up the rest, but there are more things to get the most out of your money.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Having problems getting the ketchup out of the bottom of the bottle? If you don't like storing your bottles in the fridge upside down, hold your arm with the bottle facing downward in starting position and swing it around in a windmill motion a few times at a rapid speed. This brings the ketchup to the tip of the bottle fast!
Step2
If you have small children that likes to send the roll of toilet paper around a couple dozen times to be able to wipe with a large magellanic cloud of toilet paper, squash the roll before placing it on its holder. This will slow the roll down.
Step3
For toothpaste, take a long straight object and press down on tube starting from bottom of tube pressing upward toward top of tube to squirt remaining paste out onto brush. This will completely empty the tube.
Step4
Add 1/4 of the amount of coffee usually used to make a pot of coffee to previously used grounds to make another pot of coffee. This tastes the same and stretches your money.
Step5
Keep used dryer sheets for cleaning floors with. Swiffer. Also you can turn swiffer sheets over and use other side.
Step6
When using paper plates, make sure there are none stuck together.
Step7
Make sure your left overs don't get shoved to the back of the refrigerator and forgotten. Use them as side dishes at dinnertime.
Step8
If the entire family agrees together that not wasting is ideal, then everyone will benefit.

on 12/30/2007 This is a great article! You can also add some water to your dish soap when it gets down to about half full. I never thought about squishing the toilet paper roll! Thanks for that tip!
