Step 1
Drink an 8-oz glass of water when you wake up. This gets your metabolism started for the day.
-
Step 2
Do not eat anything after 7 p.m. Give your body a chance to digest your last meal before you go to sleep, so that it can burn stored fat and do other reparative work at night.
-
Step 3
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to a fruit drink or add hot peppers to a side dish. Hot peppers are known for their fat burning properties and they boost the immune system.
-
Step 4
Stay away from diet foods or packaged foods. Eat the real deal. Your body can better assimilate and break down a fat it recognizes. For example, choose half-and-half instead of powdered or liquid "creamers" for your coffee. Fake foods get stored in the body, along with all of their toxic properties because the body does not recognize them as food. So enjoy the real thing.

Step 5
Breathe deeply. Breathing helps increase your energy level and aids in digestion, helping your body burn fat. Read the article entitled "How To De-Stress Your Body By Breathing Properly" for more tips.
