Many people choose to follow a yeast free diet to rid their bodies of an overabundance of candida albicans. Candida is yeast that is normally present in the body and is harmless except in excess. Following a yeast free diet can alleviate symptoms of many health issues such as allergies, arthritis, asthma and irritable bowel disease.

    Follow a Yeast Free Diet for Better Health

  1. Step 1

    Consult with your doctor about going on a yeast free diet.

  2. Step 2

    You will need to eliminate foods which increase the growth of candida from your diet. A list of foods that you will not be able to eat while on a yeast free diet includes:
    *Alcoholic beverages
    *Fruit juice and dried fruit
    *Sugar
    *Candy
    *Sodas
    *Syrup
    *Potatoes
    *Corn
    *Cheese
    *Smoked or cured meats
    *Mushrooms
    *Peanuts and pistachios
    *Baked goods
    *Vinegar
    *Mayonnaise
    *Salad dressing
    *Mustard
    *Pickles

  3. Step 3

    You will be able to eat unlimited portions of fresh meat, green leafy vegetables, whole grains and unprocessed seeds and nuts.

  4. Step 4

    Follow the yeast free diet for six weeks. You may then begin adding other foods back into your diet one at a time. Eat sugary and processed foods in moderation. If any of your symptoms recur, resume a strict yeast free regimin.
