You can easily publish online your calendars created in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. This is one of the great features of My Office Online, and it’s free. You can keep everyone up-to-date with this handy setup, decide who gets to see them and what they can do to them. You can create calendars separately for each of your groups, or you can put all of the details on one.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
  • Calendar created in Outlook 2007
  • Windows Live ID account
  • Internet connection

Step1
Open the Calendar. Right-click the calendar listed in the navigation pane that you would like to make public. Select “Publish to Office Online” on the shortcut menu that appears. Note: You can easily choose the default calendar by selecting “Publish My Calendar”, which will not require you to select the “Publish to Office Online.”
Step2
You will have to sign in to your Windows Live ID account or create one by following the directions provided.
Step3
Select the number of days that you would like to share you calendar under “Time Span.”
Step4
Select the details you would like to share by clicking on the arrow by “Detail.” Each of the four detail options explains what will be shared.
Step5
Select who you want to have access to your calendar under “Permissions.” You can choose between invited users only, or you can allow anyone to access it. Note: If you decide to let anyone access your calendar, you should provide a description of it in the “Description” box. This will make it easier for them to locate it.
Step6
When you are finished, select “OK” to publish your calendar. You will be asked if you would like to share your calendar. If so, select “Yes” and fill in the required information. Once you have finished, the calendar can be seen on your Navigation Pane in Outlook 2007. The name will be listed and when it is shared, this will be indicated also.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can select “Show time within my working hours only” when selecting “Details” to confine the calendar to your specific work hours.
  • Published calendars will be automatically updated, unless you select “Single Upload: Updates will not be uploaded” under “Advanced”.
