You won't believe how those flea market beauties will sparkle and shine after you clean the years of dust and film from them.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Glass beads
  • Dish soap
  • Bleach
  • White vinegar
  • 2 quart bowl
  • Old toothbrush
  1. Step 1

In the bowl, add one quart of hot water, a few drops of dish soap, about 1\4 cup of white vinegar, and a few drops of bleach, equivalent to about one tablespoon.

  2. Step 2

Swish the beads around in the cleaning solution, and lightly brush them with the toothbrush. You will see the results immediately.

  3. Step 3

Rinse the beads with more warm water, and either lay them on a towel or hang them on a cupboard door to dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use this solution to wash vintage plastic beads, but don't let them soak in the solution
  • You can achieve very satisfactory results with apple cider vinegar, but white vinegar works the best.
  • Make sure you have adequate ventilation.
  • Wash your hands with plain soap and water when you are done.
