Step 1
Prepare for affirmative prayer through a clearing technique. During the clearing process, allow yourself to feel the release and relaxation. Give yourself the time you deserve to enjoy this rejuvenation experience and adventure.
Example: Violet Waterfall of Divine Cleansing and Love
Sitting in the lotus position (or in whatever meditation position
is most effective), close your eyes or focus on a candle or any fixed
object with which you are able to connect. Slowly relax your toes,
feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips, abdomen, chest, fingers, arms, shoulders, neck, face and scalp. Feel the relaxation at each point of your body. Once you have allowed your body to relax, inhale deeply to the count of 4, then hold your breath to the count of 4, and exhale to the count of 4. Practice this breathing count several times. Now, visualize a violet waterfall continuously flowing through your crown chakra and down through your body, cleansing your old mental constructs and the cells of your body as it flows. Recognize this as God’s divine love flowing through you and feel the joy as this powerful energy moves through your body, permeating and rejuvenating every cell in your physical body with love and light. -
Step 2
Pray with gratitude. Once you feel relaxed and have released any negativity, even for a few moments, use the following prayer. These affirmative prayers reprogram your belief system and recharge your life with divine energy.
Example: I am grateful for the abundance I currently have in my life (list a few things for which you are grateful). As I focus on the abundance I have in my life now, I create more abundance. As I look around at the beauty of our universe — the trees, grass, mountains, flowers, stars, all the wildlife, the sea, the lakes, rivers and streams, and the great vast blue sky and universe beyond — I know I am home among this tremendous abundance and grandeur. Everything is part of this universal splendor, and I am equal to all of life’s beauty and joy. Like attracts like, and I am connected to what I want to bring into my life. I am connected to the entire universe, and I open my lines of communication and magnetic attraction to draw to me my life’s dreams and wishes. I attract opulence, true friends, health, and happiness into my life. As I follow my path, I am guided and directed to my highest and greatest good. I look at myself and others with love and compassion because I know we are all doing the best we can at this time. I look toward the light, and as I evolve spiritually, I help bring the whole planet’s vibration to a higher level. I am thankful for this opportunity. Thank you, Universe. Thank you, God, Divine Source, All that is. Amen. -
Step 3
See and feel the end result. Remember, when designing your own programs, keep them positive and FEEL. Don’t just think or visualize; feel what it would be like to already have what you would like to have in your life. For example, if you desire a new car, visualize yourself in the driver’s seat and feel the excitement as if the car were already yours. Allow yourself to experience how you feel when you take the keys from the salesperson to drive the car home. Experience how it handles,
smell the new car smell, see the interior and exterior color of the
car, feel your hands on the steering wheel, and listen to the radio or
your favorite CD. See yourself driving the car home and parking it
in your garage. This exercise is an example of the specifics for
feeling what you want to manifest. -
Step 4
Keep a positive outlook with this affirmation: “I keep a positive outlook, even in the midst of adversity. When negative energy is around me, I realign with my divinity. This realignment fills me with warmth and love and lifts me to believe in my dreams and see beyond the immediate horizon. Like a bird whose wing is broken, I will heal from inside and fly again. Flying is what I do best, and I will soar. Thank you, Universe. Thank you, God, Divine Source, All that is. Amen.”

Step 5
Work through any resistance. If you encounter resistance or difficulty connecting with your desire, you might ask yourself a question to get in touch with your feelings and desire more deeply. For example, you could ask, “Why do I want this?” In answer, search beyond the superficial reasons and uncover the core. This mental examination brings you to a focal point where you can ask yourself, “How would I feel with this right now?” If necessary, check in with a counselor to remove old negative programming or blocks interfering with your desires.
