You build confidence, grow, expand your comfort zone and your life as you confront and conquer your fears. Each time you stand up for yourself in a difficult situation, you’ll have more courage than before. Every time you experience success, you’re able to absorb the successful feeling a little more. As for fear of failure, is there really any failure, or are there simply lessons we use to determine what we do not desire in our lives? As we examine fear, we might consider Roosevelt’s words, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Or Emerson’s, “Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.” There are various schools of thought on how to overcome fear. We will work through a couple of processes that work in the following steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Face your fears. Some experts recommend behavioral changes. In other words, when you do what you fear, the fear will dissipate as you face it and engage in the process. You can work with Virtual Reality therapy if what you fear is too tough to face outright. For example: You may work through fear of flying or public speaking in Virtual Reality therapy.
Step2
Talk about your fears. You talk about it, unearth the root, and uproot the fear in your mind through cognitive therapy. Sometimes you need support from someone you trust to help you work through the fear process and get to the heart of why you are fearful.
Step3
Awaken to your inner spiritual power. Through this awakening, you will find a greater sense of safety. You will awaken to the understanding that the Eternal you, or Divine Self, is unharmed by physical or verbal attacks. Your Divine Self is where your power lies and where fear does not live.
Step4
Continue with the process you choose until the fear is manageable and you have regained control rather than letting the fear keep you stuck and possibly hindering you from living your dreams.
Step5
Use a combination of these processes and you may find the mix to
be effective. Or, you may elect to use one process more than the others. You will discover they do actually work!
