Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- A computer with internet access
- Travel on your mind
Step1
Kayak.com
Kayak.com is a great starting place. This site will allow you to see air fares from multiple carriers to your desired destination. This site includes a great sliding timetable to adjust your flight times and dates to see how it will affect the rates. They don't include every airline so it's a great place to start to get a rough idea of what prices are looking like.
Step2
Orbitz.com is a great general travel site and with the ability to build your itinerary using different airlines you can often find an overall lower price than if you were using just one airline. They also have options for full packages including hotel, car and more.
Step3
Sidestep.com is a FANTASTIC site that searches over 200 travel web sites and airlines to find great values. They search more sites than you could find on your own and have great search options to customize your trip.
Step4
The last few sites I like to try just to compare are: Airgorilla.com, and Travelocity.com. These have been resources for just checking what else is out there to ensure you've got the best deal.
