If your bird is sick or injured, it is best to seperate it from the rest of your flock. Besides the diease spreading, other birds pick on sick or injured ones to try to kill them, since in the wild a sick or injured bird would attract unwanted attention to the flock from a predator. They also do it to keep the diease from spreading (this is also why birds hide illnesses).

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Plastic Tub
  • Towel
  • Newspaper or towels to line the bottom
  • Food & Water bowls
  1. Step 1

Get the plastic tub, line the bottom with either newspaper or towels. Make sure there are no uncovered, cold sides your bird can press up against.

  2. Step 2

Use another towel or a light cloth (so airflow isn't restricted) to cover the top. Tie it there securely with string or rope.

  3. Step 3

Add food bowls, and secure the water bowl so the bird cannot knock it over and get a chill.

  4. Step 4

For warmth you should get a heat lamp and put it on top of the tub, pointing into the box. Monitor the tempeture so your bird can't get overheated.
