How to Bond Through Sports

One of the best things about competitive sports is their ability to bring people together. Sometimes it brings together a father and his children rooting for the home team, and in some instances it is the teams themselves that are brought together. Some of the tightest bonds people have created were cemented because of fighting in the trenches together on the field or court.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Play sports to strengthen your bond with friends and family. The first great thing that sports does is bring teammates closer together. When people face adversity together, it is bound to make the bond between them stronger. Both winning big games and losing close ones brings teammates together.
Step2
Attend games with your friends and family to strengthen your bonds. The camaraderie between fans at a game is unparalleled. You are brought together with complete strangers who all have one common interest: the desire for the home team to win.
Step3
Use sports to bond with your children. Whether it is dad coaching his daughter's softball team, or a parent and son playing catch for the first time, a bond will grow as a result of the togetherness.
Step4
Use sports to keep in touch with friends that live far away. Maybe it's an old college roommate that lives across the country, or a family member that has moved away from home. A simple text message or a call to discuss your team's latest transaction is a good way to communicate with someone you don't see that often.
