If you have Opera, you may have seen their 'Speed Dial'. SD is a handy feature that sort of replaces favorites and a homepage (you can still have both, however) with a convenient page featuring your nine chosen websites. It's always just one click away, so go on and try it out!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet Connection
  • Opera Web Browser

Step1
Opened Opera Open Opera. You may go to a webpage, or you may start out at Speed Dial (SD).
Step2
New Tab button If you did not start at SD, look at the upper-left hand of your window. You will see a button that says 'New Tab'. Click it. Alternatively, you could hit 'Ctrl' and 'T' to get SD.
Step3
Two Tabs; SD and Another You will see a page with three rows of three boxes; nine altogether. Now; open another tab and go to whatever website you want your first SD button to be. Alternatively, if you've already used Opera a bit, and been to the website that you want for space number one, you needn't do this step.
Step4
The Box Select the first space in SD (or any space; wherever you want to put your first website). A box will appear.
Step5
Selection Scroll down to 'Open Pages' and select the page you want to be in that SD box. (If you already had visited the site as in Step 3, scroll to 'Frequently VIsited Pages' and select from there.)A preview of the website will appear in the SD box.
Step6
'OK' Hit 'OK'.
Step7
Speed Dial, Filled In Repeat for up to nine websites in the nine boxes. You can always access SD on Opera, so your top nine websites are just a click away.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also get to SD by double clicking the blank space to the right of your tabs.
  • When on SD, you needn't click on the image to get to that website. You can also hit 'Ctrl'+'1' for your first one, 'Ctrl'+'2' for your second and so on.
