How to Pronounce the Italian Alphabet

Well, the regular Italian alphabet consists of 21 words, however, there is also the consonant alphabet and vowel alphabet - just to get facts straight, this is only the Italian regular alphabet.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • paper and pencil
  • a voice
Step1
Alright, you're going to learn the first three letters: A, B, C

A = ah (e.g: AH! The water feels so calm.)
B = bee (e.g: This BEE has stung me!)
C = chee (e.g: CHEEse tastes good.)
Step2
The next 3 couples are: D, E, F

D = dee (e.g: An infamous DEEd.)
E = eh (e.g: EH?! School's out?)
F = efeh (Pronounce this: EH + say EHF so EH + EHF + EH)
Step3
The next 3 couples are: G, H, I

G = gee (e.g: GEEs!)
H = aka (Pronounce this: AH + KAH)
I = ih (Pronounce this like the letter E)
Step4
The next 3 couples are: L, M, N

L = ele (Pronounce this: EH + LEH)
M = emme (Prounce this: EH + MEH)
N = enne (Pronounce this: EH + NEH)
Step5
The next 3 couples are: O, P, Q

O = oh (e.g: pronounce it like in the word: "O"pera!)
P = pee (e.g: PEE is an impolite way of saying urine.)
Q = koo (e.g: I'm COOl!)
Step6
The next 3 couples are: R, S, T

R = erre (Pronouce this: AIR + REH)
S = esse (Pronouce this: EHS + SEH)
T = tee (e.g: I'm wearing a T-shirt!)
Step7
The last 3 couples are: U, V, Z

U = oo (e.g: YOU are nice.)
V = voo (Pronounce as written)
Z = tseta (Pronounce this: TS + EH + TUH or like DUH and replace the "d" for a "t")
Step8
Repeat 10 times until you get it. It's very easy to memorize! Good luck.
