• Hand saw or chain saw.
• Safety glasses.

1. First, lie your Christmas tree down, if you have two saw horses, this would be an ideal place.
2. Take your saw, and saw off roughly one and a half-two inches of the trunk. Make sure to make the cut clean and even.
3. check the bottom of the tree trunk. It should be a whitish/yellow color. If it's dark, then cut again, until it is the color.
