Giving your Christmas tree a fresh cut can help it live much longer. It's a simple process that takes only a few minutes to do:

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Hand saw or chain saw.
  • Safety glasses.
Step1
First, lie your Christmas tree down, if you have two saw horses, this would be an ideal place.
Step2
Take your saw, and saw off roughly one and a half-two inches of the trunk. Make sure to make the cut clean and even.
Step3
check the bottom of the tree trunk. It should be a whitish/yellow color. If it's dark, then cut again, until it is the color.
