Adobe After Effects is a program that you can use to combine footage with transparent backgrounds, such as video shot on a green screen. Once you have completed all of your compositing, animation and effects editing, you will need to render out your final movie file. You can do that by setting up a Render Setting Template for yourself to render out a Full Resolution version, so your settings are always the same.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Finish your edits. Go to "Edit," then "Templates," and then "Render Settings." This will open the dialog box for Render Settings. Click “New” in the dialog box that opens.

  2. Step 2

Click on “Best for Quality” and “Full Resolution” in "Render Settings."

  3. Step 3

Go to “Time Sampling.” For “Frame Blending,” click “On” for “Checked Layers,” in “Motion Blur,” click “On” for “Checked Layers,” in “Time Span,” click “Length of Comp” and under “Frame Rate,” make sure that the “Use Comp’s Frame Rate” box is selected.

  4. Step 4

Click "OK" to return to the main dialog box. The settings you just picked will be in the lower half of the box. You can make changes if you need to by selecting “Edit."

  5. Step 5

Name the settings template you have just created in the “Settings Name” field, something like “Final Render Full Res Settings.”

  6. Step 6

Look for “Defaults" at the top of the box. Select the template you have just named as your default render settings. These settings will now appear every time you open the Render Queue.
