How to Look Younger with Proper Skin Care

You can knock years off of your age with proper skin care. Your skin is a very important part of your body, since it protects you from harmful sunrays. The problem is, as it is doing this; it is also being harmed. The face and hands of a person can give away their age, since their skin will obviously lose some of its collagen and elastin over time. You can have younger looking skin and put off a lot of this natural process by following a few steps. A mature person who has taking care of their skin properly can have skin that appears years younger. Does this Spark an idea?

      Get enough sleep. You should try to get eight hours of sleep every day. It is suggested that you stay away from caffeine and other stimulates several hours before going to bed. Another idea is to only use your bedroom for sleeping.

      Eat healthy and drink water. You should try to eat a diet full of proteins and carbohydrates. It is better to eat several small meals throughout the day than just a few big ones. Try to have your first meal early in the day. Select fruits and vegetables that are of various colors, which provide you a lot of antioxidants and anti-aging vitamins. Add anti-aging foods to your diet. There are certain foods that are considered "superfoods", which you should try to eat often (See Resources). You must also make sure to always drink a minimum of eight glasses of water a day.

      Avoid stress, but not exercise. Try to decrease the amount of stress in your life. Your immune system is weakened by stress and you become prone to disease. A good way to handle stress is to take breaks often throughout your day. Stop what you are doing and relax or meditate. Exercise can frequently relieve stress and it is something else you should include in your daily (or weekly) routine. Another stress reliever is letting your emotions out instead of holding them in. Your body goes through a natural cleansing when you laugh or cry, which generates a feeling of comfort.

      Spoil your skin (and yourself). Treat your skin properly by cleaning and using sun block and moisturizers often on it. Award yourself out of the ordinary treats, as frequently as you are capable of. Add exciting and adventurous activities into your life on a whim. You really do deserve it, and your skin will appreciate it (and show it).
