Things You'll Need:
- A desire to help
- The fortitude to face facts that are not pretty
- Depending on you-small or large amounts or time-BOTH are extremely helpful.
- The patience to know this is not a fight that can be won overnight
-
Step 1
RESEARCH-Nothing you do is more important. With hundreds of Animal Rights groups out there, finding the one (or more) for you takes some work.
-
Step 2
When looking at an Animal Rights charity, make sure their beliefs coincide with your own
-
Step 3
* Do you have time on your hands? Every shelter in America would be grateful for your help. They need compassionate people to walk animals, clean cages, help with fundraising, and a multitude of other things
-
Step 4
* How about fostering an animal? Many 'shelters' have no facility and are in need of good temporary homes for homeless animals

Did the writer even read the heading?
Animal rights is a debate concerning non-human, sentient life, the law and morality...not about helping out rehoming pets.
Oh dear!

on 1/19/2009 For the record, animal shelters have nothing to do with animal rights; that's animal welfare and there's a huge difference.
