While Adobe Photoshop may seem intimidating to the novice user, it is easy to learn some of the simple functions on an individual basis. As you become more advanced and comfortable with the tools, palettes and workspaces, you may choose to set your workspace up in a particular way. You can save that workspace so it is the same every time you open the program.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Move your palettes, tool boxes and windows around in the workspace by clicking on the top edge of the box, and dragging it to a new location. Put them in the positions that seem most comfortable for you.

  2. Step 2

If you are happy with a layout you have customized for yourself, you should save it. Go to Window, and choose Workspace, then Save Workspace. Name your workspace so you can easily find it. Click OK.

  3. Step 3

You can also choose a workspace, from those you have previously created, by going to Window, and then Workspace, and then choosing one from the menu of those available.

  4. Step 4

If you wish to delete a workspace, go to Window, and then Workspace, then Delete Workspace. Select the one you wish to delete, and click on Delete.
