Adobe Photoshop is a versatile photograph program you can use for a variety of digital image editing needs. While it may seem intimidating to the novice user, it is easy to learn some of the simple functions on an individual basis. You will often be working with multiple layers in your image files, and you can use your Layers palette to help you build an image, that has moveable elements.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Open your multi-layered image file in Photoshop. Select the first layer that has an object in it that you want to move.
Step2
Then click the column immediately to the left of each layer you want to align. The layers will be linked in Photoshop and will show the link “icon” in the column next to each layer.
Step3
To move multiple objects that are on linked layers at the same time, select the Move tool, which looks like an arrow, and use it to drag the object on one of the layers. If you press one of the Up, Down, Left or Right arrow keys on your keyboard, your object will be “nudged” one pixel in the direction of the arrow key you pressed.
Step4
To move a single object, unlink your layers, by clicking on the Link icon next to each layer that has one. Follow the same steps as above. Save your work.
