How to be Organized in an Unorganized Manner

You can be unorganized in an organized manner. There are a couple of things you can do to create a place like that and know where everything still is. It really is a simple process, read on.

1. Being organized can be a great thing. Everything in its place and everything is tidy. There is a place for everything and everything has its place. But suppose you are not an organized person. How can you be organized in an unorganized manner?
2. Simple. By keeping everything in one centralized location. If you have a desktop or laptop computer, everything germane to the computer should be located next to it. Does it have to be perfect and neat and stacked correctly? Absolutely not. If you know everything is located by the computer, then down the road when you need something related to the computer, you know where to find it. It may be on the bottom of the huge stack, but you will know where it is.
3. One time while I was at work my wife decided to clean my computer desk. I did not have a clue where anything was. It was too organized. I liked my haphazard disarray of stacks of paper strewn about. She thought it was an eyesore. I asked her not to clean it up anymore and she wanted it kept neat. So we struck a compromise. (An extremely important attribute of a good marriage!) I told her I would clean my desk, to a point. Instead of everything scattered in confusion I would make a few piles. It still took more time to locate stuff, but it was much easier finding things I needed when she took control.
4. Another alternative is to have a file cabinet nearby. You can put anything you want in there however you want. No one will see it. It does not have to be organized, as long as you know where it is at, who cares? If your spouse or significant other is really a neat freak, then you need a room that just houses your things. If he or she does not like the way it looks, close the door. It is your room subject to your rules. If you want to clean it, then it is your chose, not someone else’s.
5. People that are neat and tidy like to analyze everything. Everything must be put in its place. As I told my wife, what is the first four letters of analyze? Yup, you got it.
   So, if papers are not exactly where they should be or the dresser has clothes thrown on top of it, relax. Eventually he or she will clean it.
