It seems quite easy to begin a new exercise program but difficult to maintain it. Consistency is one of the major keys in physical fitness and a few easy steps can help keep your fitness on track!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Always have two exercise bags packed. One for work and one in the trunk of your car--no forgetting your work-out clothes
Step2
If you choose to work-out in your home gym in the mornings-consider sleeping in your work-out clothes-wake up ready to exercise
Step3
Start out with small steps 15-20 minutes daily and work yourself up to 40-45 minutes 3-4 times weekly. Don't hurt yourself--you won't want to exercise anymore
Step4
Don't do the same exercises every time-mix it up. You won't get bored and you'll use all different muscle groups
Step5
Work-out buddies are great. Find one who you can motivate and who will motivate you. Make a pact--no one will miss a work-out session
Step6
Break up your work-out time-do 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there-remember consistency is the key

Tips & Warnings

  • Develop your work-out plan and stick to it.
  • Of course-if you have chronic medical problems you should always consult with your doctor before beginning an exercise program
