How to Personalize Your Climbing Helmet

Everyone's helmet needs a little bling so it is easily identifiable from others'. There are many ways to do so.

Things You’ll Need:

• climbing helmet
• stickers
• paint
• polyurethane

1. Decide which type of decoration you want on your helmet. Stickers are easy to use and to come by if you've bought much gear online. Paint is a little more tricky but more personal.
2. If you decide to use stickers, gather a collection from the gear you've purchased or from another source that catches your eye. Choose the largest ones to put on first so you can arrange them to your liking and fit more on. Stick the stickers on and have fun with it. These will probably last a few years so make sure you really have some that you like.
3. If you decide to use paint, acrylic is probably best. It lasts a long time and has bright hues. Paint your design on and let it dry.
4. After the paint is dry, put on a clear coat of polyurethane. This will keep your paint from chipping and getting dirt on it.
5. The most important thing is to go climbing! Take out your new helmet and show your friends your stuff.
