The wedding invitation is one of the most important things the bride and groom choose when they decide to start their lives together. It only makes sense that they would want to keep, and even frame, this special item. Of course, sometimes the decision to frame an invitation is a little easier said than done.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A photo frame that has a measurement of at least 8”x 11”
  • Dried flowers or silk flowers without stems
  • Cream colored or beige shelf paper, used for matting the invitation
  • Hot glue gun
  1. Step 1

Visit your local craft store to find the necessary items for this project. You may want to bring your invitation along to help you track down the precise size of frame you need.

  2. Step 2

Begin by measuring the shelf paper to the size of the frame, and then glue it to the backing of the frame to create a matte effect for the invitation.

  3. Step 3

Allow the shelf paper glue to dry, and then glue the invitation to the matting.

  4. Step 4

After the invitation is securely in place, begin gluing a few flowers around the exposed matting. Generally two or three flowers will do.

  5. Step 5

Once you get the effect you’re looking for, enclose the invitation in the frame and mount the frame on a wall or display it on a table.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don’t necessarily have to use shelf paper; any sort of thick decorative paper will do.
  • Silk flowers may be a cheaper option for this project, but go for some dried flowers if you can. They make the entire display look more natural.
  • If you want to expose more matting and decorate the frame with more flowers, opt for a longer, wider frame.
