How to Spend a Rainy Day Inside With Your Dog

It's raining--yes, cats and dogs--and you're stuck inside with your canine friend. Wanna know how to pass the time with Fido? Well then, read on.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dog treats
  • Dog toys

Step1
If your dog likes to play catch, a rainy day inside doesn't have to mean no fun or exercise. Just turn a long hallway into a mini dog run--clear away any unbreakables, move away any furniture and voila-i-nstant dog run!
Step2
Brush up on Fido's training. If your four-footed friend is a little behind in his knowledge of sit, stay, come, now is the perfect time for a refresher course. With no outside distractions, he is bound to catch on to his lessons in no time. And just think of the showing off you two can do at the dog run when the weather clears!
Step3
Take photos of Fido. While he's napping, eating or just being his goofy old self, snap away with your camera and in no time you'll have photos that will look great on a T-shirt, a screensaver or even just for your memory book.
Step4
Lie down together and take a nap. Sometimes a rainy day is a perfect time to just chill out and do absolutely nothing. Chances are your dog will be feeling just as lazy from the weather so just follow his lead and SIT, STAY, LIE DOWN and snooze away.

Tips & Warnings

  • When training your dog, remember to have his favorite treats nearby as a reward.
