Things You'll Need:
- Eyeshadow colors to experiment with.
- Time and patience to experiment.
-
Step 1
Have an Idea of What Eyeshadow Colors Look Best
For blue eyes, lighter eyeshadow colors tend to bring the blue out the best. Colors such as light pink, light blue and white are all great options for people with blue eyes.
For green eyes, shades that are darker and more dramatic tend to look the best. Plumb purple, dark browns and dark shades of gray are your best options.
For brown eyes, earthy colors tend to look the best. Browns that are lighter or darker than your eye color, greens and pinks tend to be the best choices. -
Step 2
Try On Different Eyeshadow Colors
One of the best things that you can do in order to determine what eyeshadow color will look the best is try on different eyeshadow colors. You may want to stick with the colors that look the best in combination with your eye color, but you should never be afraid to go outside the realm. -
Step 3
Experiment, Experiment, Experiment
Once you have an idea of what eyeshadow colors look best in combination with your eye color, you may want to consider trying a variety of different shades. This can mean the difference between light purple and plumb purple or light gray and black.

on 1/21/2009 i noticed that you didn't include colors for red eyes.
i have red irises (no,im not an albino!) and i have no clue what eyeshadow color to wear.
(there are people with red and violet eyes.it is rare, but we need some color choices, too!)

on 5/24/2008 I have very light blue eyes, and I find that applying a little bit of teal shadow from the outside in with a bit of white on the inside corner looks ravishing!
