Step1
Go shopping to find a specific journal or a notebook, and a pen dedicated to journaling. Making sure they are special will encourage you everyday to make time to journal.
Step2
Make a schedule and set aside time even if it is only 15 to 20 minutes. Those 15 to 20 minutes a day will help you stay connected to yourself.
Step3
Find a special place in your home to journal is another way to help you make time and reconnect with your inner self.
Step4
If you find making yourself a cup of coffee or tea to help you into that special place to journal, use that. Just the warmth of the coffee or tea helps me to open myself a great deal.
Step5
Use writing prompts in a book or online as a way to get your journaling flowing on the days when you don’t feel like you have anything to write. Make sure to never feel restricted to only that subject, but branch out from there.

Don’t worry if you take more than one page a day to journal. Be patience, fearless and kind to yourself. Don’t stop the flow just because you are at the bottom of the page just continue to the next page.
