The tango dance is all about revealing the dark passion of romance and appears in many different versions, depending on the region in the world. The authentic type, however, is very different from the traditional form of ballroom dance. This article will point out the exact opposite of the tango with the steps below.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Experienced tango partner
  • Dance studio or an alternative room with sufficient space
  1. Step 1

The footwork involved in tango actually consists of picking up the feet and placing them on the floor instead of gliding along as the traditional tango requires.

  2. Step 2

Perform a closed position with your partner at all times. With true tango, both partners are a bit farther apart with the man's right fingers directly placed on the woman's spine.

  3. Step 3

Dance about the studio with rise and fall motions. In actual tango, both partners maintain a constant-level body position at all times.

Tips & Warnings
  • Smile as you dance to make your motions look more effortless and dynamic.
  • If you or your partner possess physical problems, be sure to obtain professional advice from a physician first.
