Everybody wants to assure that their children are maintaining healthy diets. One of the best ways to do this is by making your own healthy snacks for children. One of the things that children can never get enough of is anti-oxidants. By making fruit rolls you can assure that your kids are getting the anti-oxidants that they need, while enjoying a tasty, healthy snack. Read on to learn more.

Things You'll Need:

  • Dehydrator
  • Sliced assorted fruit
  • Tablespoon of sugar
  • Personal time

    How to Make Healthy Snacks for Your Kids--Dehydrated Fruit Snacks

  1. Step 1

    Prepare the fruit. Wash and thinly slice the fruits of your choosing. Next lay them flat on the cutting board and lightly sprinkle with sugar.

  2. Step 2

    Remove moisture from fruit. Place the fruit in the dehydrator on medium setting. Let the fruit stand for at least an hour.

  3. Step 3

    Check on the fruit. If the fruit is not completely moisture free let it stand for another half hour to an hour, before checking on it again.

  4. Step 4

    Serve and enjoy. Once the fruit is dry you can remove it from the dehydrator and consume.

  • Bag it up in zippered plastic bags for safe storing.
