Family reunions are tradition, and reflect much upon each family's values. Yet, some of us don't see our families for years upon years until the family reunion comes around. Bonding during this time can be trying. But it is possible. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • An open mind
  • Forgiving heart
Step1
Make sure every family member is on the list. When everyone feels included, everyone will loosen up and feel more welcomed. Even those who haven't been in touch in years will want to be a part of the fun.
Step2
Ask everyone to bring a photo. This is a great ice breaker for family members to exchange photos. This also helps with building the family tree.
Step3
Create a family song together. The family song can create camaraderie among family members. It might even help to create a CD for keepsake.
Step4
Offer workshops based on the talents of different family members. If there is a lawyer in your family, get that member to host a legal workshop to share with the group.
Step5
Record the festivities. Then you can send everyone a photo or DVD. Or, you could set up a family website.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make some activities kid-friendly.
