Lipstick only goes so far...
Lipstick only goes so far...

Even if you weren't blessed with "bee-stung" lips like Scarlett Johannsen, don't let that stop you from achieving fuller lips...without the cost or pain of surgery.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cinnamon leaf oil
  • lip balm or gloss
  • lips in need of some plumping
  1. Step 1

After brushing your teeth, apply some lip balm to seal the skin. Wait until balm is absorbed, about twenty or thirty minutes.

  2. Step 2

Mix just a tiny drop of Cinnamon Leaf Oil into a lip gloss or pliable lip balm (carmex). The gloss or balm will alleviate the initial sting of the cinnamon, which can manifest itself as a "burning" sensation. You may experiment with the amount of oil your lips can take depending on your own "pain threshold." Remember, a little bit of the oil goes a long way.

  3. Step 3

Apply the Cinnamon Leaf Oil/Gloss mixture gingerly to your lips. Depending on how much oil you added to the gloss or balm, you may feel that slight burning, but it will go away quickly. If you find that "sting" to be too much, use less oil the next time you try this.

  4. Step 4

The cinnamon acts on the capillaries in your lips, bring more blood to the surface, giving you a plumper look with a red tinge due to the increased blood. This effect will usually last for a couple of hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to keep your lips moisturized as a daily routine. Dry lips always look thinner than moist lips.
  • Obviously, if you are allergic to cinnamon, avoid this trick. Also, if you find that you are overly sensitive to the cinnamon leaf oil, try using less. The Cinnamon Leaf Oil comes in a small bottle for a reason. You do not need much to achieve its effects.
