Diaper rash is an unpleasant sight for parents. We hate to see our little ones in pain and discomfort. Here are some easy steps to follow to begin treating your little ones bottom.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bath water
  • Mild soap
  • Towels
  • AIR, AIR, AIR
  • Ointment (which ever one your prefer.)
  1. Step 1

Give your baby a nice warm bath. Wash their bottom with a mild soap to ensure their bottom is REALLY clean from all fecal matter.

  2. Step 2

Pat baby dry with a towel.

  3. Step 3

Find a warm place in the house and let your baby have naked time. Lay your baby down on towels or blankets for a good 30 minutes. Air is the best cure for diaper rash! (if you can give your little one air for 30 minutes at least 3X a day the diaper rash will disappear before your eyes.)

  4. Step 4

After air time, if you choose, you can apply an ointment to the diaper area.

Tips & Warnings
  • Frequent diaper changes will help speed up the healing process.
  • While the diaper area is irritated only use plain water to wash their bottoms during diaper changing.
  • Allow baby's bottom to completely dry before putting the clean diaper on.
  • If the diaper rash does not show improvement after 2 days, make a doctors appointment. It could be something other than diaper rash.
