Step 1
Consider the factors that may be contributing to hair loss. Age (50+) is one factor; heavy metal toxicity, stress, and pharmaceutical drugs are other causes of thinning hair. Could any of these apply to you?
-
Step 2
Find alternatives to cholesterol-lowering drugs or high blood pressure medicines if yours are causing hair loss. Antithyroid agents and antidepressants may also cause premature hair loss.
-
Step 3
Examine your diet. Strict diets without enough nutrition (i.e., malnutrition) can cause hair loss. Make sure you are getting enough B complex vitamins and zinc, as well as enzymes to improve the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
-
Step 4
Steel cut oatsAvoid baldness naturally by eating a 1/2 cup of Irish Oatmeal (steel cut oats soaked overnight before cooking) each morning. Oatmeal contains silica and biotin, both of which are essential for healthy hair and nails.
-
Step 5
Encourage hair grown by increasing scalp circulation. Scalp massage, which also reduces stress tension, is a relaxing natural cure for thinning hair.
